Irving Sanchez Rodriguez, M.D.
As a Board-certified Oncologist and research-based radiotherapy oncology specialist with significant clinical practice experience in both the public and private sector, Dr. Sanchez also teaches students with clinical oncology, radiosurgery, radiotherapeutic and stereotactic radiotherapy medical expertise at UAG School of Medicine. Dr. Sanchez counsels and provides the OSIG governing board with strategic planning guidance, support, mentorship and expertise in clinical oncology medicine. Dr. Sanchez leads clinical oncology training seminars and in-depth clinical oncology / onco- pathological medicine workshops in the UAG Simulation Center. Dr. Sanchez crea, enseña y supervisa clases de clínica médica incluyendo exploraciónes de oncologia. Dr. Sanchez administra enseñanza oncologica dentro del programa de Casos Clínicos originando nuevos casos clínicos y enseña adentro del Centro de Simulación de UAG.

Submit your peer mentor application with leadership skills (include time zone of your clerkship location) to be paired up with an MS-I or MS-II. Attend our orientation meeting. Check-in with your mentee once a month for 1 hour via OSIG Teams to answer questions.
Share your experience on medicine, UAG courses, USMLE, clinical rotations, etc.
Early-career/physician-scientist Mentees

Need guidance, help & support? Submit your mentee request to be matched up with a peer-mentor, specify semester of current enrollment. Check-in with your mentor once a month for 1 hour via ASCO-OSIG Teams.

If you are not already a member, please pay your ASCO | Oncology Student Interest Group at UAG 'chapter' dues along with submitting your student membership application w/Year, Semester, Email & Phone info to join our ASCO | Oncology Student Interest Group at UAG School of Medicine. Then, you can get ASCO’s national membership for medical students and residents at UAG school of medicine at no cost.
